Basic Fire Awareness

Legislation

Fire Services Act 1981 Section 18 –(2) It shall be the duty of every person having control over a premises to which this section applies to take all reasonably measures to guard against the outbreak of fire on such premises, and to ensure as far as is reasonably practical the safety of persons on the premises in the event of an outbreak of fire.
 
This three hour course is aimed at all employees to assist them in identifying and reducing the risk that fire presents in the work place. The course examines the phenomenon of fire that all of us can recognise but the majority of people fail to fully appreciate.

Fire Warden/Marshal

Legislation

1981 Fire Services Act and Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act 2005
This one day course is aimed at all employees with a designated role in relation to workplace fire safety. Training is designed to impart the knowledge and skills to selected members of staff required to carry out the duties of the Fire Warden/Marshal and to take the necessary action in the safe evacuation of the premises
